Yep! I remember checks. I remember getting my seaman over 2 years pay raise on my first check of $122.50! Man I was so happy. Still don't know what I did with it; maybe got two girls instead of one but not really sure about that. They use to hand them out in the bombproof if my ole brain has it straight.
