Did some checking and here was my LIVING wage for 1966 -68

1966 $1,148 RMSA
1967 $1,503 RMSN
1968 $2,578 RM3

I would imagine you guys were about the same income bracket for the same grade level. Damn good thing the Navy provided us a place to sleep and eat. The good thing about making RM3 was being able to afford to take a taxi back to Farfan in the morning or what ever time I was returning from town.
