You are correct-o mundo my friend. It was good living. And what did we pay Chico? Maybe 2 or 3 bucks a payday? My wife tells me I tell this story way too often but you couldn't beat the chow that Jose and Manuel put together. The barracks were always clean and ready for us to throw up on each night. The water was always hot. Like J.P. use to say, "I shipped over cuz where else could you eat breakfast for .25, songs on the juke box were a nickel and drink at happy house was a dime!" He was right, of course. Like Bobby said, the fishing trips were so cheap it was stupid not to out on them. AH! The good life!
